Ill-Literate-Skill is a premier rap outfit from the streets of Cape Town. They have overcome the odds and established themselves as a progressive uber crew in mid-stream South African hip hop. Ill Skills (as they have also come to be known) has consistantly proved to be one of the most dynamic independant groups in SA, and therefore, earned themselves the number 1 spot in Hype magazines March 2008 issue. Since their inception in early 2005, they have released three projects independantly viz. Another Day-Another Rhyme the EP (2006) and the Battle of Guguletu mixtapes volume1 (2006) & volume 2 (2008) along with Driemanskap. In between these releases, they did various gigs around the country and ran a string of shows in Cape Town which saw some of the countries best and relatively successful underground and mainstream artists performing in the city. Among them are Reason, Proverb and Nthabi.

They recently released their debut album, Off the Radar. Uno elaborates, “The album has been a fruitful experience. It is predominantly produced by Planet Earth. It also features production from Ootz, Nyambz, and Azgod, as well as artists Nonku Phiri, Whosane, Driemanskap, Sbu Dlamini and Ben Sharpa.”They've also worked with some of the greatest producers this side of the equater including Nyambs, Planet Earth and Mizi to name but a few.
