Phil the Kritik and Project-kay are two producers based in Lesotho and South Africa respectively. They have just released an instrumental album which is available for free download.

“Project-kay vs. The Kritik” is a statement, not only to their respective locales (Phil the Kritik is a Ugandan native now based in Maseru, Lesotho, while Project-kay resides in Durban, South Afrika – via Zimbabwe, through Lesotho if you catch the drift!), but to the entire international beat-making community. Pick any beat on this project, and it is sure to fit well into the next hip-hop/pop classic in the pipeline. These gentlemen are no lazy bums either, with each having amassed a sizeable chunk of production duties in hip-hop.

Project-kay has worked with, among others, Young Nationz (South Afrika), and Crack Boyz (South Afrika). Current and future projects include expanding his production repertoire to include more international clientele, scoring for more commercials (he has done work for the World Health Organisation and UNDP among others), and getting his multimedia company fully underway.
